Rebeca Tavares responds to tweet about Fabinho's Liverpool future before deleting post

Rebeca Tavares responded to further transfer speculation over his husband and Liverpool star Fabinho - before deleting her message.

The Reds midfielder has not been at his typically high standards for large portions of the season. Fabinho was most recently in action during the 5-2 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League.

As a result of his form this season, the 29-year-old has been linked with a move away from Anfield. A report from The Mirror suggested that Fabinho could be a player that leaves the club in the summer transfer window.

A tweet from Anfield Edition mentioned this rumour about Fabinho, and Rebeca responded with a tweet of her own. The response featured a GIF which featured the caption “oh dear lord’, implying that the rumour may not be that credible.

Rebeca has since deleted the tweet, but has previously been vocal with her support of both her husband and the club.

Fabinho has made 32 appearances for Liverpool this season, but not all of them have been as successful as in previous seasons. Jurgen Klopp even dropped the Brazilian to the bench in favour of Stefan Bajcetic for the Premier League matches against Chelsea and Wolves.

The last two league outings saw Fabinho’s form improve against Everton and Newcastle. However, the defeat to Real Madrid has once again led to questions about the midfielder’s future at Liverpool
