Wallabies veteran Kurtley Beale has candidly opened up about his 2013 stint in alcohol rehab, saying the embarrassing period of his life made him realise he had been in denial.

Beale, now 36 and having made a successful return from a ruptured achilles tendon, is hoping beyond hope of earning a fairytale Wallabies recall for the upcoming British and Irish Lions series.
