Real Oviedo chief David Fernandez admits a hefty offer from Celtic for Haissem Hassan could force his hand in this summer transfer window.
The Scottish champions have been linked with a big money bid for the Egyptian winger as Martin O'Neill looks to strengthen his squad for the Champions League playoff as well as the coming season domestically.
An offer of around £3.4million was reportedly put forward by the Hoops which was knocked back but it is being reported that the club maintain a strong interest in the player.
They are expected to return to the table with a second offer and Oviedo sporting director Fernandez insists the club may have to sell if the money is right.
"We are here to make the best sporting decisions and have the best possible team. I don't control the financial aspects," he told Asturias.
"We want the best players, but the market will determine when we finalise the squad."
Hassan previously had a reported £16m price tag on his head but that has since been whittled down to closer to £10m.
Alongside Celtic, Liverpool were linked with a shock deal for Hassan having kept a close eye on the 24-year-old.
