Real Madrid are reportedly weighing up a move for Manchester City's Joao Cancelo.
Mundo Deportivo say that the Spanish giants want the Portuguese for his versatility, given he can be deployed at left-back, right-back or in midfield. The report says Real are ready to pounce for the 28-year-old next summer, despite his contract not running out until the summer of 2027.
Real boss Carlo Ancelotti wants to have two recognised left-backs in the squad. Ferland Mendy is currently first choice and although David Alaba provides cover Ancelotti would prefer to use him as a centre-back.

Elsewhere, Ilkay Gundogan remains an option for Barcelona, according to reports from Mundo Deportivo. The German midfielder was made captain by the City players in August and has featured prominently this season.
The reports regarding the Catalan club claim that Gundogan was an 'emergency option' should Frenkie de Jong leave to join Manchester United. Of course, this deal never materialised with Barca able to keep hold of their man.
However, the ex-Borussia Dortmund midfielder is still considered a 'distant option' for Xavi's team, it is understood. The La Liga giants are still weighing up potential options to replace Sergio Busquets who will leave Camp Nou when his contract expires at the end of the campaign.
