Real Madrid send four word warning to Liverpool after reaching Champions League final

Real Madrid have sent a familiar message to Liverpool after they reached the Champions League final.

The Reds booked their place in the Paris final earlier this week after they beat Villarreal 5-2 on aggregate. Goals from Fabinho, Luis Diaz and Sadio Mane secured a 3-2 second leg victory in Spain.

A day later, Real Madrid faced Manchester City in their semi-final second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu. City were minutes away from reaching the final for the second year running, before a late brace from Rodrygo and an extra-time penalty from Karim Benzema won it for Madrid, 3-1 on the night and 6-5 on aggregate.

Following the full-time scenes, the Real Madrid players enjoyed jubilant celebrations on the pitch and with their fans in the stands. Soon, seemingly every player was wearing a new home shirt which said ‘A Por La 14’ which translates to ‘All out for 14’ from Spanish.

This is in reference to Real Madrid looking to win their 14th European Cup. However, Liverpool will have plans of their own to win their seventh triumph in the competition.

It’s not the first time that Real Madrid have taken part in this gesture after a Champions League semi-final. In 2018, after the La Liga outfit beat Bayern Munich, their players wore shirts that said ‘All out for 13’ on their backs.

Liverpool also reached the final that season, after beating Roma in their semi-final. However, they would end up losing 3-1 to Real Madrid in the final in Kyiv, as Madrid won their 13th European crown.
