Real Madrid plan £103m Chelsea transfer raid as Frank Lampard aims to reunite with Blues star

Chelsea's season is coming to a close. With just a handful of games left in the Premier League, the Blues now have an FA Cup final to look forward to in May when they play Liverpool at Wembley for the coveted domestic honour.

Nevertheless, whilst they've been successful on the pitch, takeover updates continue to swamp the headlines. Even though they're currently prohibited from buying players, Thomas Tuchel's side remain at the centre of the transfer rumour mill with plenty of players tied to moves to and from the Blues. Regardless of whoever takes the reins from Roman Abramovich, Chelsea will be looking to strengthen in the summer, primarily in the midfield areas and back-three.

With that in mind, football.london has rounded up some of the latest transfer rumours surrounding the club.

Reece James

Real Madrid are reportedly willing to pay €70 million (£58m) to secure the services of the Chelsea defender ahead of the 2022/23 season. That's according to Spanish outlet Fichajes who add that Carlo Ancelotti is keen to bring in defensive reinforcement and his interest stems from the regressing performances from long-term servant, Dani Carvajal.

Antonio Rudiger

Rudiger's agent has reportedly called Real Madrid to offer the services of his client and present the German's salary request.

According to Marca, via footballItalia, Madrid have been informed that the 29-year-old is open to moving to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer but is looking for a four-year deal worth €55m (£45m), which includes salary and signing bonuses.

If reports on James and Rudiger are both accurate, it means Madrid could look to spend up to around £103m on Chelsea defenders this summer.

Michy Batshuayi

TeamTalk, via HITC, claim that Leeds and Everton are among a list of Premier League clubs ready to offer Chelsea outcast Batshuayi a shot at redemption this summer. The 28-year-old is currently impressing on his fifth loan spell away from Chelsea at Turkish side Besiktas, where he has scored 14 goals in 28 SuperLig outings.
