Real Madrid midfielder makes U-turn on Liverpool transfer decision as new club joins race for Nat Phillips

A number of players continue to be linked with a transfer to Liverpool this month.

Jurgen Klopp has said he is 'happy' with his Liverpool squad as we enter the final two weeks of the January transfer window - even without star attackers Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, who are on AFCON duty.

But while the Reds making any move this month may seem unlikely, interest in transfer targets ahead of the summer is brewing.

After three years of spending very little in comparison to their rivals, Liverpool are rumoured to be key players for a few major targets.

And here are your latest transfer rumours...

Who?

Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga

What?

El Nacional have reported that Camavinga would accept a move to Liverpool this summer after turning the club down to join Real Madrid

The 19-year-old joined Real for £34.4m last summer but is reportedly unhappy in Spain due to a lack of regular starts under Carlo Ancelotti.

The France international has struggled to cement a spot in Ancelotti's team, currently being fourth or fifth choice.

The Reds have been linked with a few defensive midfielders as they look for competition for Fabinho.

Who?

RB Leipzig attacker Christopher Nkunku

What?

Spanish outlet Fichajes have reported that Liverpool are interested in signing the RB Leipzig playmaker.

Leipzig, a club the Reds have a strong relationship with, are believed to be looking for a bid of around £45m to let the talented Frenchman leave.

Liverpool will almost certainly be in for another attacker this summer, with Divock Origi, Takumi Minamino and even Roberto Firmino all recently linked with moves away.

Able to play all three attacking positions whilst also featuring as a number 10, Nkunku would provide versatility.

Who?

Liverpool defender Nat Phillips

What?

Nat Phillips is being tipped to leave Liverpool this month - and Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven have now reportedly made an approach.

The 24-year-old is now the fifth-choice centre-back at Anfield after Ibrahima Konate was brought into the club in the summer.

Phillips performed admirably for the Reds last season, when manager Klopp had a centre-back crisis after losing Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez to injury.

But the Liverpool boss will allow Phillips to go this month and, with West Ham United also said to be interested, Football Insider say a £12m bid could seal the deal.
