£12.5m Spurs reject wanted by Real Madrid
Tottenham sold Juan Foyth for a reported £12.5million to Villarreal last summer, after he initially joined the La Liga outfit on loan for the 2020/21 season.
He won the Europa League with the club last campaign and his form has been excellent ever since, which has resulted in interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid according to CalcioMercato, via HITC, who add that they would like to sign him in the summer.
Conte handed Romero boost
Cristian Romero has been suspended by FIFA for two Argentina matches following the abandoned match against Brazil on September 5, 2021.
football.london reported back in September that there was anger within Spurs that Lo Celso and summer signing Romero made the trip in the first place because the Premier League had unanimously decided not to release players for international matches played in red list countries.
A statement on FIFA's official website has since confirmed that Romero, the on loan Giovani Lo Celso, as well as Aston Villa duo Emiliano Martinez and Emiliano Buendia have been suspended for two international games as a result of not complying with the FIFA Return to Football International Match Protocol.
If the decision isn't appealed, it means that Romero will be unavailable for Argentina's March internationals against Venezuela and Ecuador.
Although he's had injury issues, the defender has largely impressed since signing in the summer and keeping him at Spurs in March may just help Tottenham's push for a Champions League spot.

Davies admission
Ben Davies has admitted the Tottenham players are hurting at the moment but he believes their current malaise is just "a blip" under Antonio Conte.
"It was very disappointing [losing to Southampton]. It wasn't great and we have to reflect on it and get better as a team," he said. "Any time you lose a game like this in that fashion, you have to look back on it. It was very disappointing.
"We know the quality Wolves have got, we know they're a good side. We were sloppy and gave them opportunities, more than I thought that we got done by their hard work. So it's disappointing in that sense and we know we have to be better."
