Real Madrid are reportedly considering an 'audacious' move for Manchester City striker Erling Haaland in the summer transfer window, with Los Blancos looking at a 'new generation' of talent.
According to the Independent, Madrid are already looking for Karim Benzema's eventual successor, with president Florentino Perez open to testing City's resolve in regards to Haaland. However, the report adds that the Norwegian ace is happy at the Etihad, but the Spanish outfit are said to be keen on bringing both Haaland and Jude Bellingham to the club at the end of the season.
Perez was interested in bringing both Haaland and Kylian Mbappe to Madrid at one point, but with the Frenchman having snubbed the reigning European champions last summer, it is unlikely the forward leaves PSG for Los Blancos.

The report adds that Haaland is not seen as the sort of player who will stay at any one club for years, but the 22-year-old has thrived in the Premier League since arriving from Borussia Dortmund. The frontman has scored a remarkable 27 goals in 25 games so far in the league, and 33 goals in 34 matches in all competitions.
Perez was expected to delay any move for Haaland until summer 2024, but Madrid are said to be at least willing the test the situation in the summer.
Elsewhere, journalist Simon Phillips has reported that Chelsea have no intention of selling Ben Chilwell this summer, with the English defender being linked with a move to City.
It is thought that Pep Guardiola is keen on signing a new left-back, with Joao Cancelo's future unclear. The Blues are reportedly long-term admirers of the 26-year-old and attempted to sign the defender in 2020. However, he made the move to Stamford Bridge instead.
Chilwell has made just 20 appearances for Graham Potter's side this term, having missed 10 matches through injury.
"Right now, he's [Chilwell] their first-choice left-back," Phillips told GiveMeSport. "He's keeping [Marc] Cucurella out of the team and Graham Potter obviously likes him. He's just come back from injury, so I do expect him to grow back into that role and get even better as well.
"Situation's can always change but, right now, Chelsea don't have any intention of selling Ben Chilwell."
