Real Madrid have agreed a deal worth €103million (£88.5m) to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund, rising to a possible €134m (£115m) with add-ons.
The England international has been Real’s main priority signing for months and is now set to become the most expensive teenager in the club’s history.
A medical is expected in the coming days to finalise the transfer, before Bellingham signs a six-year contrat.
Bellingham has enjoyed a remarkable rise in the sport, from impressing with Birmingham City while still attending school, to snubbing Manchester United in 2020 in favour of a move abroad to join Dortmund aged just 17 years old, the same year in which he made his senior England debut.
Real’s next target is Bellingham’s England captain Harry Kane, who has one year left on his contract at Spurs and is also being courted by Manchester United and, from a distance, Bayern Munich.
Spurs value Kane at more than £100m and chairman Daniel Levy desperate to hold on to his most-prized asset with new head coach Ange Postecoglou only this week through the door. However, Carlo Ancelotti has made Kane his next transfer priority and an opening offer is soon expected.
