A family attraction, described as a real life 'Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory', is just 40 minutes from Liverpool.
The Ice Cream Farm, in Cheshire, is not only dedicated to sweet treats but it also has a wide variety of fun things for the kids to do. The business was started more than 30 years ago by the Fell family.
It all began with their award-winning ice cream which saw people travel far and wide to try it out. Once the Fell family noticed the growing numbers travelling to try out their product, they decided to open the Ice Cream Farm tourist attraction.
Director of the ice cream emporium, Jonathan Fell, began working for the business when he was only 14 years old. He would split his time between manufacturing the Cheshire Farm Ice Cream product (owned by his parents Tom and Margaret Fell) and working across a number of areas in the business.

Jonathan h took on the responsibility of renewing the lease for The Ice Cream Farm in 2007 and it was at this stage that he expanded the business. In 2013, due to increasing visitor numbers of over 500,000 a year, the site was at capacity.
Alongside supplying more than 1000 pubs and retailers, the Ice Cream Farm now has a dedicated area of its own which was recorded by the Guinness World Record as the largest ice cream shop. But there's more than just an ice cream shop on offer at the farm.
Since 2015, a whopping £5 million has been spend to redevelop the farm, including the building of Europe's larges sand and water play area. There is an entry fee of £2.50 for people over 12 months old which includes the access to the outdoor play area Daisy's Garden, the ice cream parlour, picnic areas, toilet and changing areas.
However if your family wants to enjoy the more attractions, a pass can be purchased from £4.50 which allows for children to play adventure golf, ride mini tractors or dig for treasure in Gemstone Cove.
