A moment that thousands are comparing to Leonardo Di Caprio and Jennifer Lawrence's movie Don’t Look Up has gone viral after GB News anchor, Bev Turner was speaking to a meteorologist about the recent heatwave.
In the clip, meteorologist, John Hammond warned viewers of the incoming heatwave when he spoke on, saying there could be hundreds if not thousands of deaths before he was cut off by news Anchor Bev Turner.
“John, I want us to be happy about the weather, I don’t know if something happened to meteorologists to make you so fatalistic and harbingers of doom,” she laughed.

“Haven’t we always had hot weather?” she asked to which Hammond replied by saying that more and more records are being broken more frequently and severely. “I don’t think we should be too light-hearted about the fact that many are going to die because of the heat,” he said.
The clip has gone viral with thousands likening it to the film, Don’t Look Up, a film starring Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo Di Caprio, where two astronomers try to warn of an incoming comet that will destroy the planet. The film is a metaphor for climate change with the makers calling for more climate-related films to keep the conversation going.
Turner has since given her own views on a GBN segment today saying that there is an absence of debate on the topic of climate change. “My alarm bells go off whenever I hear anyone say that the science on any matter is 100% settled,” she said.
Turner said that companies should be banned from dumping chemicals and plastics into waterways before adding, “We should be insulating our houses and we should all be consuming less of everything which inevitably ends up in landfill,” she said before warning viewers about “green issue propaganda.”
Turner went on to highlight a theory about pandemic restrictions being a preparation or training for “digitally” organising humanity to save the planet. “The mindset manipulation of the last two years has worked beautifully,” she said.
Some have applauded Turner for sharing her views with one user on Twitter replying to the clip saying, “Climate change is a hoax, pass it on.” Another user replied, “Some people have been trained like Pavlov’s dogs. Very disturbing…”
