Taylor Armstrong is expressing her pride just in time.
The Bravo star, 52, came out as bisexual on this week’s episode of “Real Housewives of Orange County,” airing right before the end of Pride Month.
“Most people are surprised to find out that I’m bisexual probably just because of stereotypes,” said the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum, who’s appearing as a friend on this season of the OC-set series. “It’s not something I broadcast, but I’m open to all people who have great souls that you can love.”
Armstrong noted during the episode that she was previously in a five-year relationship with a woman, before she tied the knot with Russell Armstrong in 2005.
The couple, whose tumultuous marriage was featured as a main storyline in the first season of “RHOBH,” split following the debut season. Taylor filed for divorce in July 2011, accusing Russell of physical and verbal abuse — allegations which were aired on the show as well. Russell denied his estranged wife’s claims and, weeks later, died in what was subsequently ruled a suicide by hanging.
Taylor, who through her late husband has 17-year-old daughter Kennedy, got remarried in 2014 to current husband, John Bluher.
While few and far between, Armstrong isn’t the only housewife who counts themselves as part of the LGBTQ community.
Former “Orange County” castmate Braunwyn Windham-Burke made history in 2020 as the first star of the franchise to come out as a lesbian. Noella Bergener, who is bisexual, spent one season on “RHOC,” starting in 2021. That same year, Julia Lemigova, who’s married to tennis player Martina Navratilova, also joined “Miami” in its fourth season.
