In regard to the NBA’s 2024 postseason, what can we take away from the Denver Nuggets‘ recent 102-100 win over the Celtics at TD Garden earlier this week? Although the two behemoths would still have a hard row to hoe in order to return to the finals from their respective conference finals and prior rounds of the postseason, it does seem plausible they could meet on the league’s biggest stage this summer.
In this most recent matchup, Nikola Jokic was the best player on the court and Jamal Murray seemed unstoppable, but the Celtics had a response for every Denver push until late mistakes cost Boston the game. The Celtics’ ability to play fast is a clear advantage Boston could lean into more, and when you add in game planning vs. the same opponent, such a series ought to be scintillating.
The host of “Hoops Tonight with Jason Timpf” recently shared his thoughts about a potential finals collision for these two contenders.
Check it out above to hear what he had to say about such a hypothetical matchup.
