RBI to launch first pilot for retail digital rupee on December 1

NEW DELHI: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is all set to launch it first pilot for retail digital rupee (e₹-R) on December 1.

In an official release, the central bank said that the currency would be in the form of a digital token that represents legal tender.
