RB Leipzig have sent a message to former player Ibrahima Konate ahead of this evening's pre-season friendly against Liverpool.
The Reds take on the Bundesliga side later today before they head to Austria for a training camp. Konate spent four years at Leipzig before he made the move to Anfield in 2021.
Liverpool flew to Germany earlier today and kick-off at the Red Bull Arena is scheduled for 6:15pm UK time. They'll then face RB Salzburg in Austria next week.

Leipzig took to social media on Wednesday to send a heartfelt message to their former player, who made 94 appearances for the club. They said in a tweet: "A reunion with friends is always nice. Especially if it's Ibou."
Midfielder Naby Keita also spent time at Leipzig before he made the move to Liverpool in 2018. The Guinea international spent two years with Austrian side RB Salzburg before he joined the German outfit in 2016.
Leipzig also shared a tweet to remember Keita's time with the club, saying: Naby played for our colours for two years. With his goal against Dortmund, he made RB Leipzig history. But together we have experienced much more."
Both players could line up against their former club this evening as the Reds continue their preparations for the 2022/23 campaign.
