RANGERS' Europa League rivals RB Leipzig fell to a 3-1 league defeat ahead of their trip to Ibrox.
The Bundesliga side were beaten by Borussia Monchengladbach on Monday night, just three days out from the Europa League semi-final second leg in Glasgow.
RB Leipzig will head to Scotland with a one-goal advantage having beaten Rangers through a late volley from Angelino in the first-leg last week.
But their preparations have been far from ideal with M'gladbach triumphing despite being reduced to ten men in the second-half of the Bundesliga fixture.
Breel Embolo slotted home after 17 minutes to give the hosts an early lead.
But Leipzig danger man Christopher Nkunku was on target to restore parity after 36 minutes. The French forward burst into the penalty box before sending a deft finish into the far corner.
In first-half added time the hosts were back in front as Embolo split open the defence with a through ball for Jonas Hofmann to fire home.
Monchengladbach were reduced to ten men after 64 minutes when Nico Elvedi fouled Nkunku outside the box.
However, Hofmann put the result beyond any doubt when he rifled home his second of the night. The German found space in the box before narrowing a shot into the bottom corner.
The result puts an end to a four-game away winning streak for RB Leipzig across all competitions.
