Middle-distance star Jack Rayner's bid for a record-equalling fifth consecutive 10,000m national title looms as his toughest challenge yet.

As he aims to equal the legendary Ron Clarke with five Australian men's 10km titles on Saturday night in Melbourne, Rayner will have to contend with tenacious Tasmanian Stewart McSweyn.
