Raye has revealed her second album could be delayed after her car was stolen containing books she had been using to write songs for it in.
The London-born singer-songwriter, 27, has been busy working on the follow-up to her multi-BRIT Award-winning debut My 21st Century Blues.
She took to Instagram to share her devastating update which came on her birthday.
“It’s my birthday and my car got stolen with all my song writing books in the boot so no second album any time soon look you bye”.
The Escapism hit-maker also posted a picture of a homemade cake for her special day, which featuring writing written in red icing which red: “sorry ur car got stolen”.
The Standard has contacted a representative for Raye for further comment.
Despite the bad news, she seemed in good spirits otherwise in the slew of other pictures shared, including one showing her giving the thumbs up while wearing an inflatable pink crown and a sash reading “Queen for the Day”.
She also appeared to have been gifted a pink Nintendo Switch and matching personalised headphones which should help put a smile on her face after recently revealing her love of gaming.
It came as she starred in a new TV ad for the gaming giant alongside her real-life sisters Abby, Lauren and Katelyn.
In the ad, she can be seen reaching for her handheld console to unwind in the back of a car after a concert.
