Arsenal legend Ray Parlour made sure to give Glasgow giants Rangers and Celtic their props live on radio as he bigged up their joint global appeal.
Ally McCoist was in the talkSPORT top seat as he was left open–mouthed over the numbers involved in a potential sale of Manchester United as any deal hangs in the balance. The Rangers legend was quick to note United's worldwide appeal is only further boosted by the ability to take the Red Devils on the road to money–spinning tournaments in Asia and the Americas.
And Parlour was keen to give both Rangers and Celtic their due as he reckons the biggest teams north of the border command a similar worldwide draw to the biggest teams in the richest league in the world – 12 months on from hinting Celtic had the upper hand in that regard. Speaking on talkSPORT, the Gunners icon said: "We were just talking about the English clubs there, Rangers and Celtic around the world, wow, huge."
That sentiment was backed-up by Rangers' all-time leading goalscorer. McCoist said: "That's amazing, especially over in Australia and America. Incredible, absolutely incredible." Parlour had the pair on an equal footing 12 months after he plumped for the green half of Glasgow as the biggest club due to their large Irish following across the globe.
