Ravens WR Zay Flowers reveals differences between NFL and college practices

The Baltimore Ravens drafted Zay Flowers to be a wide receiver that can take their offense to the next level. Him being paired with Odell Beckham Jr., Rashod Bateman, Mark Andrews, as well as quarterback Lamar Jackson should be scary for opposing defenses to game plan for.

Flowers was asked what the difference was between NFL practices compared to college, and mentioned how the pros isn’t that much of a change from college. However, he did talk about how things are more sped up, saying that “you’ve got to get it and go”.

“It’s not really different. I’ll say it’s more sped up; it’s more urgent. You’ve got to know what you’re doing. You’ve got to be able to take it from the classroom to the field. So, it’s really not different. In college, you just have more time to learn it, and they’ll take you through [it] more. In the NFL, you’ve just got to get it and go.”

Another difference between college and the NFL practices is that in the NFL, there isn’t school work to do after practice. Players can focus on the playbook and getting better at their craft.
