The Baltimore Ravens added an explosive playmaker to their offense when they selected Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers with the 22nd overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft. He will bring plenty of big plays to Baltimore’s offense, especially playing with quarterback Lamar Jackson.
During his introductory press conference, Flowers was asked about Jackson’s legend in South Florida, where the pair hails from. The rookie said that everyone there is a Lamar fan and that you’ll see people wearing his jersey no matter where you go.

“Down there, Lamar [Jackson] is a legend. Everybody is a Lamar fan. You’re going to see people wearing his jersey no matter where you go. Everybody is going to talk about him and – I hear though that South Florida has the best athletes – why not get a receiver from down there.”
