The Baltimore Ravens traded away wide receiver Marquise Brown during the 2022 NFL draft, which came as a shock to many different people. They also have chosen not to replace him on the roster through the draft or through free agency so far, which also caught a lot of people off guard.
Baltimore will be relying on a multitude of young talent at the position in 2022, including James Proche II. Wide receivers coach Tee Martin was asked about Proche after a training camp practice, and praised the third-year player for taking the next step.
“He’s doing excellent. He had a really good camp last season, and I think he’s doing even better this year, because he’s taken the next step – another year of experience. He played a little bit more in games last year, and he understands the opportunity in front of him. So, he’s attacking it every day. He’s asking a lot of great questions, he’s playing three positions for us and playing lights out. So, I look forward to seeing him play next week, as well.”

Proche is one of the many homegrown receivers that has the potential to play a massive role in the Baltimore offense in 2022. He has shown many different flashes throughout his first two years as a professional, and should have plenty of opportunities to deliver this season.
