Ravens well-balanced offense too much for Browns

Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken has quarterback Lamar Jackson rejuvenated. All week long NFL analysts raved on how the Cleveland Browns defense was too much for Baltimore, yet today’s final score affirms the very opposite.

In case you missed it, Jackson totaled four touchdowns for the Ravens vs. Cleveland today.

Twice Jackson used his arm and twice Monken schemed Jackson on zone run concepts that got him into the end zone. Jackson connected with seven different receivers on just 15 total completions – a clear sign that Monken’s scheme is made to optimize the offense.

Ultimately, the diverse yet cohesive play concepts Monken is using are the reason for offensive success. Below are illustrations of a few concepts from week 3 we saw relived Sunday afternoon. The Ravens now lead the AFC North division with a 3-1 season record.
