Ravens star JK Dobbins risks quarterback feud by claiming "Lamar Jackson would've won"

The NFL season is over for the Baltimore Ravens, but running-back JK Dobbins has claimed that they'd still be going with Lamar Jackson at quarterback.

The Ravens lost 24-17 to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night, as a stunning turnover from Sam Hubbard saw him run all the way to the endzone in the fourth quarter. It was starting to look like the Ravens may cause an upset, but Tyler Huntley's fumble led to a 98-yard touchdown run from the defensive end.

Jackson missed the game through injury, even though he posted an update on social media stating he was desperate to return. Jackson is without doubt the best quarterback at the Ravens, but Dobbins has risked a potential feud with Huntley following his post-game comments.

After the game the Ravens stars were understandably frustrated as they lost by the narrowest of margins. The loss was avoidable, but it always looked like a freak incident could decide the game on Wild Card Weekend.

The Ravens were weakened with no Jackson, but Huntley has been a solid back-up in his absence. But after the game, Dobbins said: "If we'd have had Lamar, we'd have won too."

He soon backtracked, adding: "Snoop (Huntley) played a hell of game." But after being dumped out of the postseason, it's not exactly what Huntley would want to hear from his team-mate.

Ravens fans were desperate for Jackson to be ready in time, but his personal update on Thursday all but ended any hope he could return un the postseason. Jackson addressed his 1.1 million followers on Twitter, saying: "Thank you everyone for your support and concerns regarding my injuries.

"I want to give you all an update as I am in the recovery process. I’ve suffered a PCL grade 2 sprain on the borderline of a strain 3.

"There is still inflammation surrounding my knee and my knee remains unstable. I’m still in good spirits, as I continue with treatments on the road to recovery.

"I wish I could be out there with my guys more than anything but I can’t give a 100% of myself to my guys and fans. I’m still hopeful we still have a chance."

But they no longer have a chance as they're out, and some are even speculating whether Jackson will play for the Ravens again. Jackson's contract was due to run out at the end of the season, and after turning down a five-year $250m (£208.5m) deal last year, he's yet to agree an extension.
