The Baltimore Ravens are a tad thin in the edge rushing department, as one could argue they are currently three deep at the position. Outside linebackers Tyus Bowser, Odafe Oweh and David Ojabo are their top-three options, with other depth pieces such as Tavius Robinson in the mix as well.
On Wednesday afternoon, Ian Rapaport of NFL Network reported that Baltimore is set to bring in another pass rushing option for a visit in former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive lineman Dawuane Smoot. The six-year veteran is coming off of a torn achilles, but has accumulated 22.5 total sacks over the last four seasons, and can play both on the outside or inside.
#Jaguars FA DE Dawuane Smoot is set to visit the #Ravens early next week, as Baltimore eyes possible edge help, sources say. Smoot tore his Achilles late last season, but is doing well in his rehab and prepping to get back on the field. Baltimore is a strong option.
