The Baltimore Ravens saw their running back room be decimated with injuries in 2021. The team lost J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards and Justice Hill to season-ending injuries before the year even began, prompting the signings of players such as Devonta Freeman, Latavius Murray and Le’Veon Bell.
While Hill is back at full strength, Dobbins and Edwards are still working their way back to full strength. With that being the case, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Baltimore will be hosting veteran running back Kenyan Drake on a visit on Tuesday. Soon after, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reported that Drake will sign with the Ravens, pending the results of his physical.
Sources: The #Ravens are hosting former #Raiders RB Kenyan Drake on a visit today and if all goes well they likely will sign him. A potential perfect opportunity for Drake, who should get immediate touches. pic.twitter.com/zBPl49pNDS

I’m told that free agent RB Kenyan Drake will sign with the #Ravens today pending the results of his physical, per league source. Drake is already in Baltimore.

Drake was released by the Las Vegas Raiders a few weeks ago, and has also spent time with the Miami Dolphins and the Arizona Cardinals. He is both a threat as a runner and as a pass catcher, totaling 758 carries for 3,384 yards and 29 touchdowns on the ground while hauling in 199 passes for 1,535 yards and seven touchdowns through the air.
