The Baltimore Ravens got contributions from multiple key players in their 31-24 win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8. While defensive lineman Michael Pierce had the best game on the defensive side of the ball for Baltimore, it was running back Gus Edwards who stole the show on offense with three big touchdown runs.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson spoke to the media after the contest, and made sure to give Edwards his flowers. He called the runs of Edwards “huge”, saying he made great cuts and great runs while also giving credit to the team’s offensive line.
“I believe his runs were huge. He made great cuts [and] great runs. [The] offensive line did a great job. We need more of that.”
