The Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets got their 2022 seasons off to a slow start. The first touchdown of the game did not come until late in the second quarter, with a quarterback and wide receiver duo that was expected to be a big part of Baltimore’s offense entering the season.
With 3:52 left to go in the second quarter, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson completed a 25-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Devin Duvernay as the team’s first touchdown of the 2022 regular season. Jackson placed the ball in the perfect spot, while Duvernay made a spectacular catch.

Duvernay was expected to have a big role on offense after Baltimore traded away wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to the Arizona Cardinals during the 2022 NFL Draft. Duvernay has showcased his ability both as a receiver and a return specialist, and will almost certainly have more opportunities in the end zone as a receiver moving forward.
The third-year receiver later added a second score later in the game.
