Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman became the first player on the team to change his jersey number during the 2022 offseason, making the switch from No. 12 to No. 7. He joins fellow wide receiver Marquise Brown as the only two wideouts to rock single-digit numbers in Baltimore at the moment.
After the announcement was made that Bateman was making the switch, a few of his teammates responded on Twitter, showing their support for the wide receiver’s decision and making it clear that they are completely on board with the change.

The NFL eased their jersey number restrictions during the 2021 offseason, and multiple Ravens players decided to make a change then, including Brown as well as inside linebackers Patrick Queen and L.J. Fort. Whether more of Bateman’s teammates decide to switch jersey numbers remains to be seen, but from Oweh’s tweet he could potentially be thinking about it.
