The Baltimore Ravens are currently trying to figure out who their quarterback will be for the 2023 season and beyond. They’ve been in negotiations with star quarterback Lamar Jackson for over a year, but a long-term extension hasn’t come to fruition at the moment, sparking debate about what’s next for the team.
When naming the 10 best fits for star University of Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson, Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports named Baltimore at No. 9 on his list. When getting into the details as to why, Dajani mentioned how Richardson can run the ball and has a strong arm, traits that would be beneficial to what the Ravens want to do on offense moving forward if a developmental quarterback is in their plans.
“We know Richardson can run the ball, and he has a cannon for an arm — even if that cannon needs some polishing. John Harbaugh had a hand in developing a quarterback into a perennial MVP contender. Maybe he could do the same for Richardson. At the same time, losing Jackson would make for an automatic downgrade.”
