Ravens HC John Harbaugh praises play of WR Devin Duvernay

The Baltimore Ravens pulled off an impressive win against the New England Patriots in Week 3 to improve their 2022 record to 2-1. There have been multiple contributors on offense this season, but one if the most notable ones has been wide receiver Devin Duvernay, who coming into the year was expected to have a bigger role after the departure of wide receiver Marquise Brown.

Duvernay has stepped up throughout the season so far, and caught two passes for 25 yards and a score in Week 3. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was asked about Duvernay’s big-play ability, saying that he’s fulfilled expectations.

“I would say so. Those are things that we felt like were in his skill set when we drafted him, but it takes, usually, some development in the National Football League. He’s been playing ever since he got here in some capacity, but to see him kind of flourish in the last few games in this season in fulfillment of those expectations is just great. I was in the weight room earlier and saw him, and he’s never satisfied; he’s just never satisfied. That kind of mindset is what goes a long way.”

Duvernay has become one of quarterback Lamar Jackson’s favorite targets this season. The wide receiver has three touchdowns and 121 receiving yards on eight receptions, showing off his big-play ability on special teams as well. He returned a 103-yard kickoff for a touchdown in Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins, and has produced some electric plays over the first three weeks of the 2022 season.
