The Baltimore Ravens fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 17 by the final score of 16-13. The loss dropped Baltimore’s record to 10-6 on the year, and they’ll now travel to Cincinnati to play a Week 18 game that could be a playoff preview.
After the game, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh discussed the lack of wide receiver usage in the team’s loss to Pittsburgh. He was asked if the Steelers were doing anything to limit Baltimore’s wideouts, with Harbaugh saying that wasn’t the case but the ball could have gone to the those players a few times but didn’t.
“Not specifically. I think the ball could have gone there a few times, and it didn’t, and Mark [Andrews] got a lot of targets. It’s not like we threw the ball a lot. But there are times it could have gone there and it didn’t – not to say it should have. It’s just that’s the way the game plays out sometimes.”
Tight end Mark Andrews had nine catches for 100 yards in the contest, bouncing back after a rough few weeks. However, the next-closest receiver to Andrews on the stat sheet was tight end Isaiah Likely, who had three receptions for 12 yards. After Likely, wide receivers Demarcus Robinson and Sammy Watkins both had one catch for nine yards.
