The Baltimore Ravens have plenty of attention focused on them, especially in the wake of quarterback Lamar Jackson’s mega-contract extension. Jackson signed the richest contract in NFL history in terms of average annual value, and his contract saga was one of the most covered topics in all of sports.
Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh was asked about the attention that is currently on his team, he said that he thinks his players understand what it’s like to be professionals, especially with the television and social media attention surrounding them.
“Do you tell your kids not to look at the TV and social media, right? I mean, they’re going to look at it, to your point. So, the answer is no. I think it’s a great question. I think our guys understand what it means to be a professional. There are a lot of things that are said that aren’t positive either, and you’re not going to live in that world either. So, I think we focus on being as good of a football team [as we can be] and get our execution to where it needs to be, then go out there and let it rip on gameday and see what happens.”
