Ravens’ first-round pick Zay Flowers giddily bought a new car for his dad

New Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers has already showed off his generosity less than a month after being drafted.

Flowers, Baltimore’s 2023 first-round draft pick, hasn’t signed his rookie deal yet, but he has purchased his father a brand-new car as a thank you for his support.

A video shows how excited his dad was to receive the new set of wheels and how excited Flowers was to give it to him, which is a really cool gesture for a rookie to do who hasn’t really gotten his contract windfall yet.

Flowers has plenty to look forward in Baltimore with quarterback Lamar Jackson throwing him passes, and it’s cool to see him start his pro career in such a generous spirit.

Videos like this are a really cool reminder that the impact of being drafted into the NFL goes well past what it means for answered football dreams and on-field impact.

The financial ability to be able to give back to those who have supported you is a really cool side effect to making your football career a reality.
