The Baltimore Ravens need every player on the defensive line to contribute at a high level in 2022. While the unit has plenty of established veterans, they also have a nice group of young players with potential, including third-year player Justin Madubuike.
When Madubuike was asked about what he’s focusing on in order to take his game to the next level, the former Texas A&M star was honest in his answer. He said that he’s looking to get one percent better every day, starting small and not making things too complicated.

“For me, it’s just like one percent every day. I wrote on my wrist today, ‘Elbows up and just knee drive.’ Focus on the little things that I can definitely add on [and] add on. I don’t try to make it too complicated; I try to just start small, and over time those little pebbles will add up and form a big boulder, in my opinion. So, I just take it one day at a time, and just try to focus on the little things.”
If Madubuike can elevate his game this season, the Ravens defensive line will get a massive boost. If the line is playing well, that in turn will help the secondary perform, as it will put pressure on opposing offenses in a multitude of different ways.
