For the first time in his incredible career, former Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry will be playing for a different team: the Baltimore Ravens.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Henry and the Ravens have agreed to terms on a two-year, $16 million deal that has a max value of $20 million, and includes $9 million guaranteed in the first year.
Henry to the Ravens has been speculated about for months now, and Baltimore even reportedly made a run at him prior to last year’s trade deadline.
Knowing all that, it comes as zero surprise this is where he ended up.
While it sucks to see Henry join a hated rival like the Ravens, at least he isn’t going to the Houston Texans, who reportedly had him on their radar before they pulled the trigger on a trade for Cincinnati Bengals back, Joe Mixon.
Now, instead of playing him twice a year, the Titans will not see Henry in 2024, barring a playoff matchup with Baltimore.
