A South Lanarkshire Council candidate has shared his disgust at "horrendous" living conditions in Hamilton.
Gavin Keatts was delivering leaflets during his canvassing on Good Friday when rats began scampering across the floor within a block of flats.
Shocking images shared by the candidate show a vile mess of overflowing bins covered in droppings as the walls and ceilings of the building are plagued with damp and mould.
