Liverpool made it back-to-back Premier League wins on Wednesday evening by earning a hard-fought victory over West Ham United.
Darwin Nunez's first-half header proved to be the difference between the sides at Anfield, though the visitors did have their own chances to earn a share of the spoils. Jarrod Bowen had the opportunity to draw level for the Hammers when awarded a penalty following a Joe Gomez foul inside the penalty area, but the West Ham forward saw his spot-kick saved by Alisson Becker.
Jurgen Klopp's side now sit seventh in the league standings, just four points adrift of the Champions League places after Chelsea were held to a goalless draw at Brentford.
