Everton started life under Sean Dyche with a 1-0 win against Arsenal on Saturday at Goodison Park.
There could be no question about the commitment from the Blues under the stewardship of the new manager as they went toe-to-toe with the Premier League leaders.
James Tarkowski scored the first goal under the new management and how fitting it came from a player moulded by the 51-year-old during their time at Burnley. The centre-back peeled to the far post through a crowded penalty area and headed home past the despairing Aaron Ramsdale.

The win now moves Everton out of the relegation zone, leapfrogging Bournemouth and Wolves, as the gap swings to a point ahead of this weekend's round of fixtures.
It was a much improved showing from the Blues as they won their first match since August after a run of 10 without one. For the Gunners, they missed out on the opportunity to move eight points clear and saw their 13-match unbeaten run end.
There will be a chance for rest for Everton and over a week of full preparation - a first under the new manager. They are back in action next Monday as bragging rights are at stake against rivals Liverpool.
Both sides will be looking to get one over their foes but the result will have implications on both sides' ambitions as the Blues look to survive the drop and Liverpool look to get back on track.
