Rare Disney 50p coin launched by Royal Mint

The Royal Mint has launched a new, rare 50p coin which celebrates all things Disney. The new coin, which has officially been released today, forms part of the Winnie the Pooh collection.

The coin features Kanga and Roo on an official 50p piece, two of Winnie the Pooh's closest friends in the Hundred Acre Wood, and has been designed by Daniel Thorne. Prices start at £10 for the uncirculated coin and £20 for the special colour edition, and are available to buy at The Royal Mint website.

It forms part of the nine-coin collection, joining other coins celebrating Winnie the Pooh, Owl, Tigger, Christopher Robin, Piglet and Eeyore - all inspired by the original illustration of E.H. Shepard from A. A. Milne's classic children's stories.
