Looking for a supermodel-approved Christmas party ‘fit? You might want to head down to Crisis’ annual Christmas pop-up.
The week-long pop-up in Mayfair opens on December 9, and will feature items donated by Kate Moss from her own wardrobe, alongside a slew of other stylish ‘slebs who have given their clothes for a good cause. Among these are Liam Gallagher and David Gandy — this could be your chance to get your hands on an authentic Gallagher parka.
Beyond contributions from celebrity wardrobes, the pop-up will also feature a curated selection of designer goods donated by luxury brands. The designers confirmed to be donating their wares to this year’s cause include Marc Jacobs, Jimmy Choo, Barbour, Lanvin and Jil Sandler.
The feast of luxury goods on sale extends beyond clothing; 100 watches donated by Watches of Switzerland Group will also be available for purchase at cut prices. Beauty items from the likes of Charlotte Tilbury will also be on sale, while donations from N Peal and Joshua Ellis Cashmere could promise some seriously indulgent knits.
The pop-up will take place in the fitting location of Savile Row — London’s epicentre of designer craftsmanship and tailoring. Donations from Savile Row tailors will also be on offer at the pop-up, providing a unique opportunity to bag some exquisite suits at a steal.
All sales will be in aid of homelessness charity Crisis, with proceeds going to their work to support people away from homelessness for good. Crisis’ year-round services involve wellbeing programmes, as well as advice and support on housing, employment and benefits. This work is ramped up around Christmas, when Crisis provide companionship and hot meals to guests at the charity’s services, as well as opening hotels for people who would otherwise be sleeping rough.
The annual luxury pop-up was started in 2018 by Anda Rowland, director of Savile Row tailors Anderson & Sheppard, and menswear stylist and writer Tom Stubbs. Since then, the duo’s pop-up has raised over £500,000 for Crisis.
Other celebrities who have generously donated to the pop-up include Minnie Driver, Jessie Ware and Clara Amfo. With curated DJ sets throughout the week, and the chance to enter a raffle to win the top items, it looks is set to be a charity shopping event with a difference.
