Rapper 50 Cent playing Edinburgh gig as US superstar announces summer show

Edinburgh is set to welcome one of the biggest names in hip hop over the last two decades to the capital this summer.

Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson will grace the city with his presence in June this year at the Royal Highland Centre, with tickets on sale from today, February 18.

With his songs 'In Da Club', 'Candy Shop' and 'P.I.M.P' being used in clubs worldwide for almost 20 years, 50 Cent has cemented himself into the Hip Hop Hall of Fame.

He'll be bringing some of his classic tracks and some of his best collaborations to the Highland Centre on 14 June, with tickets available from 10am today, via GigsinScotland.

After just completing a star-studded half time performance at the Super Bowl in the US, fans won't believe their eyes after seeing 50's choice of destination this summer.

Joining 50 Cent at the Big Top this summer is James, Madness, Snow Patrol, Fatboy Slim and Biffy Clyro.

It's not the first time 50 Cent has visited Scotland. In 2015, he performed to a sell-out crowd at The Hydro in Glasgow and in 2005, he also made his first appearance in the city.

It is, however, the first time 50 has visited Scotland's capital, with the show expected to sell-out with fans racing to get their hands on tickets.

On the weekend, 50 was joined by the likes of Eminem, Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg on the stage in California for the Super Bowl half time show.

For those who want to get their hands on tickets, you can do so by visiting GigsInScotland.
