Leeds United winger Raphinha is 'very close' to signing for Arsenal if recent reports are to be believed.
The Gunners are keen to bolster their attacking options this summer as manager Mikel Arteta looks to improve on last season's Premier League tally of just 61 goals. The Spaniard is keen to bring Brazilian international Gabriel Jesus to the Emirates Stadium, football.london understands and technical director Edu has held talks with the player's representatives in recent times.
And according to Goal of Brazil, the north London outfit are also 'very close' to signing Jesus' compatriot Raphinha, who has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, as well as Barcelona this year. However, their report claims that the 25-year-old doesn't want to continue waiting for the Blaugrana to make a move and the player is said to be hoping to complete a move to Arteta's side within the week.

Barcelona's ongoing financial struggles have proved to be a stumbling block in their pursuit of the former Lille star, something that the Gunners could reportedly take advantage of. The report goes on to say that if nothing goes wrong, he will sign for Arsenal this summer.
Raphinha has been coy when asked about his future at Elland Road, claiming that it is all up to his agent Deco and the Yorkshire-based club. "I have a contract with Leeds until 2024, my future is in the hands of Deco and Leeds," he said while on international duty with Brazil.
"I have my mind set on the national team, on the game and also on my vacations. I have a contract with Leeds and this issue is resolved by my agent. When there is something, he will tell me."
