Raphinha and Leeds United-linked star send Crysencio Summerville messages after Liverpool winner

Former Leeds United winger Raphinha has reacted to Crysencio Summerville's post on social media, after the young Dutchman scored the winning goal against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.

Leeds' first victory against Liverpool in over 21 years ended the Reds' 29-match unbeaten home record in the Premier League and saw Leeds climb one-point clear of the relegation zone.

After scoring the winning goal on the eve of his 21st birthday, Summerville post a series of images from the game, with the caption: "Words can't describe my feeling right now. I pray everyday and thank god for moments like this.

"Thanks to the amazing fans for the support. Big team performance, big win!"

A number of his Leeds teammates flocked to the comments section to offer their congratulations, including club captain Liam Cooper, Wilfried Gnonto and Sam Greenwood.

"Congrats bro! Same again next week," posted Cooper, while Club Brugge and fellow Dutchman Noa Lang, who was linked with Leeds in the summer, and Barcelona winger Raphinha also sent over a series of fire and heart-eyed emojis congratulating the 21-year-old. Summerville inherited Raphinha's number 10 shirt after Raphinha joined Barcelona in the summer for a fee of £55 million plus add-ons.

Although Raphinha enjoyed a strong pre-season at Barca, the Brazilian international has struggled to establish himself at the Camp Nou since the start of the competitive season. Raphinha has found the net just once in 15 appearances across all competitions and has started the last four games on the bench.

Barcelona were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League at the group stage for the second consecutive season for the first time since 1999. However, Xavi's side have won 10 of their opening 12 league games (D1, L1) to trail league leaders Real Madrid by just one point in La Liga.
