Raphael Varane has confirmed that he will be fit to play for Manchester United against Tottenham on Saturday.
The French centre half missed Sunday's 4-1 defeat to Manchester City after he contracted Covid-19. But, speaking to the official United website, Varane has now confirmed that he is back and available for selection this weekend, in a significant boost to Ralf Rangnick's side.
"Yeah, I’m OK. I’m training normally," he explained. Varane was pictured returning to United's Carrington training base on Wednesday and the MEN reported that he was fit to train.

He added: "I feel better. I'm ready to help the team and to look forward."
Varane's absence was strongly felt on Sunday during the derby demolition at the Etihad Stadium. The 28-year-old will be hoping that his team can bounce back and put in a performance similar to earlier in the season when United were 3-0 victors at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Varane continued: "Yeah, it (beating Spurs 3-0) was a very good game. I think we played very well and we respected the plan of the game. I think we were very, very solid and the result was a great result."
Varane and company will need to be able to keep Spurs' Harry Kane quiet when the two teams re-meet on Saturday evening at Old Trafford Kane has been in fine form in recent weeks, notching five goals in four games.
Assessing the striker's abilities, Varane added: "He’s in good form. He’s a very good player. "I like to be playing against the best players in the world. In the Premier League there is a lot of very good strikers.
"Every game is a challenge and we have to be ready for this. Against this kind of player you have to be ready and focused in every moment.
"We can’t leave a lot of space because they are very good. We have to be ready."
