Cardi B has made "sacrifices" to improve the lives of her children.
The 33-year-old rap star - who has Blossom, 23 months, Wave, four, and Kulture, eight, with Offset, as well as a toddler son with Stefon Diggs - has revealed that she's had to make compromises in her own life in order to provide for her kids.
Speaking to Vogue Arabia, Cardi shared: "I try my best to have my kids around me as much as possible, but sometimes I can’t be with them. Mothers have to make sacrifices."
Cardi hopes her kids will eventually understand the scale of her sacrifices.
The chart-topping star said: "Lawyers also have to go out of state for some cases and that might take three weeks or a month. And they don’t make excuses. It’s sad, but we need to look at the bigger picture.
"I hope that my kids look at what I do and understand, ‘Mom was working her a** off'.
"She wasn’t clubbing, she wasn’t dating, she wasn’t partying ... Instead, she was making sacrifices for a better living, you know what I’m saying?"
Cardi is one of the best-selling artists in the world, but she previously claimed to have been happier before she found fame.
The Bodak Yellow hitmaker doesn't have any money worries these days, but she bemoaned the impact of fame on her life.
Cardi - who released her second studio album, Am I the Drama?, in 2025 - told CR Fashion Book magazine: "One positive thing is that, my family, whatever they want, they get. Everything that I want to buy, I can get. I don’t have to worry so much about my future.
"One negative thing is that, even though I’m happy, I feel like I was a little bit happier two or three years ago when I had less money.
"I had less people who had opinions about my life. I felt like my life was mine. Now I feel like I don’t even own my life. I feel like the world owns me."
