Another week down, another week to evaluate the performances of the multiple rookie starting quarterbacks in the league. We once again saw a mixed bag from all the rookies.
Let’s take a look at each rookie and rank their Week 13 performances from best to worst:
1. CJ Stroud, QB, Houston Texans
While it certainly was not the strongest game we have seen from the rookie phenom this year it was still a solid performance in a win and the best among his rookie class this week. Stroud put up 274 yards and a touchdown against one of the tougher defenses in the league as of late. Still leading the league in passing, Stroud seems to have the offensive player of the year award locked down at this point.
2. Will Levis, QB, Tennessee Titans
It was one heck of a game between the division rival Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts that ultimately ended with Gardner Minshew coming away with victory in overtime. Levis held his own in this quarterback duel and managed to throw for 224 yards and a touchdown with no turnovers. Levis is progressing nicely in this Tennessee offense and the team seems to have found their answer at the quarterback position for the long term.
3. Bryce Young, QB, Carolina Panthers
It certainly feels like every week we write about how Bryce Young is simply not getting enough help around him to succeed. That narrative once again rings true after yet another Carolina Panthers loss. While his offensive line did hold up better this week, his receivers were some of the worst rated in the league which has been a consistent theme all season. Young has shown flashes here and there, but it is becoming a dire situation in Carolina.
