WARNING: LOTS OF SPOILERS FOR THE BEAR SEASON 2 AHEAD! DO NOT READ FURTHER UNLESS YOU’VE WATCHED.
Ready?
OK.
There’s SO much to take in from the second season of The Bear from Richie’s redemption to … uh, a lot of Coach K references. And that’s before we start discussing what we could see in a future season.
But we’re here specifically to talk about the cameos and guest stars. We saw a bunch of them — mostly in the super-emotional and nerve-fraying sixth episode, Fishes, a flashback to years earlier that reveals a lot more about Carmy Berzatto’s family.
So let’s rank the cameos:
10
Alex Moffat
The Saturday Night Live star had a minor role as Josh, someone who works for Carmen’s new restaurant. Someone had to land last on this list, though, and there were meatier roles.
9
Will Poulter
He plays Chef Luca, who gives Marcus a guide to making pastries in Copenhagen. A lovely role for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 actor who knocked it out of the park.
8
Molly Gordon
She steals some scenes as Carmy’s love interest Claire.
7
Gillian Jacobs
I’ve been a fan since Community. She plays Richie’s ex, Tiffany, and she gives the character so much depth, particularly when she has to call Richie and tell him that she’s marrying someone else.
6
Sarah Paulson
There’s nothing she can’t do. As Michelle, Carmy’s cousin, there are some great moments, including when she invites him to stay in New York.
5
John Mulaney
My goodness, his speech when he says grace before the Christmas meal. He plays Michelle’s boyfriend Steven so well.
4
Jon Bernthal
We’ve seen him before as Mikey Berzatto, Carmy’s late brother. And in Episode 6? He’s incredible, particularly as the drama of the night unfolds (and he starts flinging forks at another actor on this list).
3
Olivia Coleman
The Oscar winner had one of my favorite scenes as Chef Terry, who has a lovely talk with Richie in Episode 7. She runs the really upscale restaurant Richie works in for a week.
2
Bob Odenkirk
Uncle Lee has some truly harsh words for Mikey, and they’re delivered by this legend in Fishes.
1
Jamie Lee Curtis
What a performance as Donna, the Berzatto’s unhinged mother who drives a car through the house to end Fishes.
