LUCKNOW: In a fine display of pace bowling on a facile wicket, Mukesh Kumar grabbed four wickets to hand Bengal a 19-run first innings lead against host Uttar Pradesh in their Elite Group C Ranji Trophy tie at Ekana Stadium on Sunday.
After bundling out UP for 292 runs, first innings centurion Sudip Chatterjee (59) continued his run riot, adding 141 runs for the first wicket with Abhimanyu Easwaran (78) in 36 overs, taking the overall lead to 160 runs before play was called off 11 minutes before the scheduled time due to bad light.
